Terms of use

By using LeonType (the "service"), provided by TellezTech, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. The service

LeonType offers typing courses, a typing speed test and tools for teachers free of charge. We may improve, change or discontinue features at any time, and we will try to give advance notice when a change affects accounts.

2. Accounts

Teachers create their account with their email or with Google and are responsible for keeping their password secure.

Student accounts are created by their teacher, or by the student with their class code. The teacher or school is responsible for obtaining parental consent when the law of their country requires it for minors.

We may suspend accounts used for purposes other than learning or that break these terms.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to disrupt it, access other people's accounts, use offensive class or student names, or automate interactions with ads (for example, artificial clicks).

4. Content

The texts, lessons, illustrations and code of LeonType belong to TellezTech. You may use them freely to learn and teach within the service, but not copy them to offer a similar service.

5. Advertising

The service is funded by Google AdSense ads, shown in non-personalized format. We are not responsible for the content of the websites the ads link to.

6. Warranty and liability

We provide the service "as is". We do our best to keep it working well and to protect your data, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent permitted by law, TellezTech is not liable for indirect damages arising from the use of the service.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. The date of the last update appears above; if a change is important we will announce it on the site.
